Our House

Construction of our house seems to have picked up speed. Every time Michael or I drive by, more things have been added. The entire frame is completed and we even have a roof. We're not allowed on the lot (for safety reasons) but we can peek from the sidewalk. The other day I drove by and saw our bath fixtures in the driveway, so I'm sure those were put in as well. Exciting times! Here's a slideshow of construction shots we've taken so far. According to the building supervisor, our house should be completed on December 31, plus time for holidays and non-work days (inclement weather). We're expecting to be in my early January.

My cousin Dustin is in Seattle with his girlfriend (Jennie) for a couple of days.  It's her first time in the Pacific Northwest, and my first time to meet her.  We met up with them for dinner at Bahama Breeze tonight.  It was nice getting to spend time with family without rush.  Usually when family comes up here, it's for some other event and we hardly get a chance to just hang out.  Being with Dustin and Jennie tonight made me realize how great having a big family is, because no matter the distance or months/years that go between seeing each other, whenever we get together it's comfortable.  No awkwardness.  That's family.
