Captain Danger

Since my last post about two weeks ago, Baxter has since learned to crawl faster, sit up from crawling, and pull himself up to stand.  It's a little ridiculous how fast he's learning these things.  I told Mike we needed to get a baby gate for the stairs and he thought we had some time before Bax would be headed over there, but Little Dude proved him wrong.  If he gets on the stairs, he knows how to put his knee up on the top step and push himself up.

We've also been thinking he's attracted to anything remotely dangerous, as he'll stick whatever could be most dangerous or painful in an object in his mouth, constantly plays near the table legs (with edges), wads up paper and/or tissue in his mouth with the quickness of a certain chihuahua, and gets so excited when he eats sometimes that he misses his mouth and ends up snorting food into his nostril.

Attraction to danger aside, he's quite a happy and contented baby.  We've had many comments about how easy-going he is, how smiley he is, and how they hardly ever hear him cry.  He definitely cries, but it's usually around bedtime when he's fighting sleep.  He now hates his crib to sleep in and has taken over our queen-size bed.  We're thinking of getting a bigger bed just to accommodate our little dictator's spread eagle-preference of sleeping and for the sanity of our own comfort.
